The Costco Food Court Has a New Treat but You Can Only Get It Here

Every Costco member knows that no trip to the warehouse is complete without a stop at the food court. The wholesale chain recently updated two food court items and added them back onto the menu, and so now members can get the bigger churro and new ice cream before or after they shop—and they even can eat inside, too.

While there are still a few favorites missing (we're talking about you, combo pizza!) after the section switched to a limited menu for the pandemic, Costco members in one country have a different new item to try.

One Costco member recently posted about a new menu item that is replacing churros—but only in one place.

Would you trade the new churro for mini cinnamon donut balls? Australia Costcos have reportedly made the switch, according to Reddit user @ZebedeeAU.

From the picture, you can see the donut balls are available for $2.99. COnverted from Australian dollars to the U.S. dollar, that's about $2.21. @ZebedeeAU says in a reply to a comment on the post that they haven't tried the balls yet, but that they are round.

The image also gives a glimpse into the other menu items the Aussie Costco that U.S. warehouses don't. Some are the same, like the sundae, chicken bake, and the pizza, but there's a southern style chicken burger, a pork hot dog, and bubble tea that look to be exclusive to the Land Down Under.

This begs the question—what do other food courts across the world have? Read below to find out!

Like the Aussie Costco, the food court at the warehouses in Taiwan have a chicken sandwich option, but also have a lemon slushie, seafood pizza, and a bulgogi bake, and even matcha soft serve with boba, according to Buzzfeed and Instagram account @jkarmazinuk.

There is no shortage of chicken sandwiches at fast-food chains right now thanks to the influx of them in the last few years. And it appears that the Costco food court in Canada is putting its name in the mix—a crispy chicken sandwich has been spotted at a food court in Vancouver.

Instagram account @costcodeals posted about it back in May, and over 26,000 people gave the post a like. The sandwich features a thick chicken patty between two soft cheese bun with spicy mayo.

Like other things available for purchase in Costco's warehouses, the gelato option at the food court in the United Kingdom is huge. It features three scoops of the flavor of your choice—either chocolate, Amarena cherry, stracciatella, or mint chocolate chip—served in a waffle cone, all for £2 (or about $2.75), Buzzfeed and Instagram account @thecostcoconnoisseur reports.

The menu there also has a caramel fudge sundae, a double chicken fillet sandwich, Aberdeen Angus cottage pie, and jacket potatoes (made of a potato with baked beans, cheese, beef chili, coleslaw, and tuna).

While the menus in these places are different, there are some changes from area to area around the U.S. To find out exactly what you should order, here are 5 Healthy Costco Food Court Orders, According to Registered Dietitians.
