This Chocolate Milk Was Just Recalled for Foodborne Illness Concerns, Says FDA

Lots of kids and adults can agree that there's just nothing quite like the taste of chocolate milk (in fact, even some pro athletes fuel up on it). Unfortunately, for consumers in nine states, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has advised that one chocolate milk brand is on recall this week. If it's in your fridge, here's what you should know.

The basics on the chocolate milk recall:

On Monday, the FDA published an announcement that Ohio-based Green Field Farms Dairy had issued a voluntary recall of 1,242 containers of their Whole Chocolate Milk product.

This was after an Ohio Department of Agriculture laboratory analysis revealed that the product hadn't been effectively pasteurized—a production error that could potentially lead to foodborne illness. (When they published the recall announcement, Green Field Farms Dairy stated that no illnesses had been reported to date.)
