The Costco Deli Just Brought Back These 3 Comfort Meals to Warehouses

Costco is the place to go for bulk bakery treats, bulk frozen items, and even bulk home goods. It's also a great place to pick up huge grab-and-go meals at the deli counter.

The items that are available on any given day at the Costco deli vary depending on the store and the season. If you head to your local warehouse right now, you'll find a selection of comfort meals in stock just in time for the crisp fall days ahead.

On those cold autumn nights, cozying by the fire often sounds like a much better option than heating up the oven. If you're looking to save time in the kitchen, here are three beloved Costco comfort meals, plus two side options to add to your plate.

Italian Sausage Pasta with Garlic Wine Sauce

Costco is here to help you take Italian night to a whole new level with this grab-and-go comfort meal, which Instagram user @costcosisters spotted in the warehouse on Oct. 6. The Italian Sausage Pasta features sausage, orecchiette, fresh spinach, and tomatoes in a roasted garlic wine sauce.

The tins weigh about 3.8 pounds, bringing the sticker price to around $18-$20. Bake this dish in the oven for 50-60 minutes at 400 degrees. Best of all? It requires virtually no cleanup.

It's apparently pasta season at the Costco deli! Instagram user @costco.hotbuys also spotted Spinach and Cheese Cannelloni at the warehouse on Oct. 11.

Similarly to the Italian sausage pasta, this meal costs $4.79 a pound. While some reviews call it "bland," others say "no meat, no problem!"

Meatloaf

costco meatloaf

Meatloaf is an OG comfort food, and it's well-known that Costco does classics well. (Hello, pumpkin pie!) After enjoying this meal, which comes with a side of Yukon mashed potatoes, Reddit user @AFlyingToaster reported that it was "everything I dreamed it to be."

Though this is a cheaper dinner at $3.49 a pound, it's just as hefty as the two pasta dishes. The meatloaf is pre-cooked, but you still need to heat it in the oven for 60-70 minutes. Then you're ready to indulge in a comfort meal that tastes just like mom used to make.

There are also two new bread selections at the Costco bakery.

costco rosemary parmesan bread

After picking your next dinner up at the Costco deli, head straight over to the bakery section to pick out a loaf of bread to round out your dinner plate. Recently, @costco.mademedoit revealed on Instagram that the beloved $8.99 loaves of cranberry walnut bread are officially back.

Another Instagram account, @thecostcopro, spotted another carb that could easily be used to help diners scoop up the leftover sauce on your plate after a meatloaf or pasta dinner—rosemary parmesan bread. A pack of two smaller loaves costs $6.99, and you can freeze the second one for dinner later in the week.

Both bread options make a cozy addition to any of the above comfort meals, but they can also be used to make a satisfying sandwich. Did someone say this is the one amazing ingredient your grilled cheese is missing?

These 5 Grocery Items Are Cheaper Than Ever Right Now

The grocery industry has been facing major disruptions. The combined effects of the pandemic, climate change, and economic uncertainty over the past couple of years have culminated in a series of supply chain breakdowns. For the consumer, this means supply shortages , shipping delays , and temporary store closures are becoming more commonplace – and all of the added production cost to suppliers is driving up food prices . The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' Consumer Price Index report for January 2022 was released on Feb. 9, and it tells the story of cost trends for every spending category over the past year. Now the numbers are in, and since January 2021, "food at home" spending has increased 7.4%. Consumers should use this number as a benchmark, Phil Lempert, the consumer behavior analyst and founder behind Supermarket Guru , told Eat This, Not That! "Anything that's substantially less [than the 7.4% increase] is a deal," said Lempert. "When you

When Should I Take Creatine?

Creatine is probably the most well-researched supplement on the market today. Numerous studies have found positive adaptations in strength, power and muscle mass thanks to creatine supplementation—especially when it's combined with resistance training. Although the benefits of creatine are well-known to lifters, the best time to take it isn't common knowledge. Which leads us to some important questions:     Does an optimal time for consuming creatine exist?     If it does, should you take it before or after your workout? According to a new study published in the Journal of Exercise and Nutrition, the timing of creatine ingestion does indeed play a role in getting bigger and stronger. Creatine supplementation before resistance training increases muscular strength and lean muscle mass. Interestingly, taking creatine immediately after lifting weights results in greater muscle growth than taking it immediately before. However, in terms of strength gains, no difference betw

Reentry Anxiety Is Real - Why You May Experience It as Stay-at-Home Measures Ease

When the coronavirus stay-at-home orders began in March, most people's lives changed in immeasurable ways. At the time, we were bombarded with (admittedly, very helpful) advice on how to cope with anxiety , should we experience it during this time of social distancing and sheltering in place. But with restrictions slowly starting to ease in many parts of the world, there are many people who have seen an increase in anxiety all over again, this time about leaving their homes and reentering society. Posts about people's growing anxiety have been popping up around social media for the past couple of weeks, and it's given rise to the term "reentry anxiety." We wanted to find out exactly what reentry anxiety is, whether it's normal to be experiencing trepidation about leaving your stay-at-home orders, and how to cope if you are feeling anxious. What Is Reentry Anxiety? The short answer is that "post-lockdown anxiety is real," said Dr. Balu Pitchiah ,
