Eye-Popping Menu Items at Disney's Major New Restaurant Experience

Space food doesn't have to be vacuumed sealed packets of soup, at least if you're dining Star Wars style. At Disney World's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Orlando, Fla., there are plenty of dining options for the culinary explorer, which is designed to resemble the planet Batuu, a legendary part of the original cannon never featured in the movies. While some of the dishes may appear alien to your senses, there is no better way to enjoy all the tastes and smells of another planet without having to go to a galaxy far, far away.

Recently the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel has opened up and it's serving up not only a completely new immersive hotel experience, but great food as well. We've rounded up a list of all the best foods both inside and outside of the hotel for the complete Star Wars foodie experience.

So, whether you've found yourself at a dimly lit cantina looking for a strong drink (and maybe a blaster fight) or you're more in the mood to relax while chowing down on some deep-fried Nuna legs, this totally mesmerizing theme park has droids you're looking for.

Oi-oi Puff

This Oi-oi puff pastry is a must-have at the Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. With a raspberry cream puff, passion fruit mousse, and a chocolate coin with the Black Spire Outpost emblem, it's a delicious way to enjoy some Star Wars fun.

Lightly sweet and served on a fun galaxy plate, this dessert will hit the spot without weighing you down before all the fun rides.

2

Blue Milk

True fans may remember the scene in A New Hope when Luke Skywalker sits down to dinner with his aunt, who pours him a large cup of mysterious blue, milky liquid. Even truer fans know this is a must-try item at the Milk Stand at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Thankfully not made from real milk (from a cow or otherwise) this creamy treat actually contains flavors of dragon fruit, pineapple, lime, watermelon, and is made from a blend coconut and rice milk.

Rather than milking a Bantha, the yak-like space mammal with a long furry tail in the movies, the Disney version is 100% vegan. It's far better for a hot day and, thankfully, the dye won't stain your mouth.

If blue isn't your thing then try the green milk option, which contains Green mandarin orange, passion fruit, grapefruit, and orange blossom. Both are delicious!

Sublight Lounge Cocktails Hoth Icebreaker, Fiery Mustafarian and Mark of the Huntress

Sublight Lounge Cocktails Hoth Icebreaker, Fiery Mustafarian

The Sublight Lounge is an exclusive part of the immersive experience and onboard activities featured on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, the Star Wars-themed hotel at Disney Parks. It is an exclusive part of the "immersive experience" and onboard activities the hotel offers and the drinks there are out of this world.

The bar is "inspired by the Halcyon starcruiser's historic voyages throughout the galaxy," according to Disney. It is a colorful, spaceship-themed bar with fanciful drinks you'll not find anywhere else in the park.

The Fiery Mustafarian on the menu is akin to a spicy margarita and the Hoth Icebreaker is similar to a lemon drop with a sugar disk on top. Both drinks look like something you'd find on any of your favorite science fiction film and television series. Additionally, there is the perfect opportunity to nerd out with a few fellow space cadets.

4

Ronto Wrap

Ronto Wrap

Let's face it, sometimes after a long hot day walking around a theme park, you're not in the mood for food dyed blue. When the ravenous hunger strikes, head to Ronto Roasters for their signature Ronto Wrap. This delicious but recognizable sandwich features roasted pork, grilled pork sausage, peppercorn sauce, and tangy slaw, all wrapped in a thick pita. It's the perfect on-the-go meal for hitting the spot while exploring the park.

Fans love the sandwich so much that there is an internet full of "copycat" recipes ready for those that have Ronto'ed and are feeling the craving again.

5

Mustafarian Lava Rolls

Mustafarian Lava Rolls

Not for the faint of heart, the Mustafarian Lava Rolls are the heavy hitters of the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge dessert world. Located at Oga's Cantina and in Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, the menu's description of the rolls simply reads, "sweet galactic delight." That may be enough to entice you.

Appearances are enough to know that the Mustafarian Lave Rolls are something you want to try. Colorful, flakey, and topped with a cookie crumble, these rolls are decedent and definitely intergalactic looking.

Wash it down with a drink at the cantina while enjoying the Bith musicians freestyling some upbeat "jizz" music and you've got yourself a time.

6

Saka's Kettle Corn

Saka's Kettle Corn

The last thing you'll ever do is go hungry at the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge park, but in the event you might, grab a cone of Saka's Kettle Corn for the perfect themed snack. It's a great way to curb the hunger on the go between rides and shopping.

This sweet and spicy popcorn can be bought at Kat Saka's Kettle shop, a food stall at the Black Spire Outpost's exotic marketplace. The corn comes colored purple and red and is also known as "Buttered Blue Grains." Chase it with an adorable round bottle of intragalactic Coca-Cola to get the "unique taste of Batuu."

7

Breakfast Bento

Don't forget the most important meal of the day, which you'll find at the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel in the morning. Here you can get adorable breakfast bento boxes of arranged meals to grab and munch on. With beautiful puffy waffles and gorgeously arranged egg muffins, these are not something you're going to want to skip out on. It's totally worth the hype and a great way to get the most out of an inclusive stay.

Grab a tray and hit a table for some time to plan your day at Disney's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
